Using YouTube To Promote Your Business

YouTubeOne of the key ways to enhance your site and set it apart is offering multimedia content. For major corporations this is not usually an issue of money or resources. For the small to medium business, YouTube (or other video hosting sites) are the key to creating value for your visitors. Take for example the small bakery: adding a video on how to make the perfect muffins is great way to set yourself apart. Or take for example the restaurant showcasing their dining room via video. It could make the difference for a searching diner in the final decision to have dinner at your establishment that night. These are some of the things that can set you apart from a simple plain website. The only limits are your imagination. An additional benefit: you can add your YouTube Video to your business listing in Google Maps. As we covered earlier, Google Maps is an important place to make sure your customers can find your business.

Once you have decided to make the video, make sure you choose the right content. Remember your audience is not the same as one catching a TV commercial. Your video should be a showcase, not an infomercial. You should add value to the experience. Value can be different depending on the intent, but the end result should be something watchable. Adding value could be a video with some tips about auto care, and then inviting people to come on by so you can service their car. If you have a golf course, you could run a series of golf tips and maybe include a fly over of the course from the air. Hopefully we have helped in getting your creative juices flowing. Good luck!
