Mark8t Gets Twitter: We’re Twitterfied!

TwitterOkay, we’re sure our English teacher’s would kill us for the title, but it’s true. Mark8t is now Twitterfied. What does that mean? We have made a decision to join Twitter for this blog. Now I a sure most of you know what Twitter is, but in case you don’t Twitter is “a micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length”. Wikipedia has more about it.

So what does this really mean? It means you can get the latest behind the scenes of our blog and our daily tasks. We can notify you about outage at the site, what projects we are working on, or articles we are researching. We want to keep our blog clean with article, and not so much the back-end portion of the site. You can check out our Tweets one of three ways: Click the little Twitter button on the sidebar, head over to our Twitter homepage or subscribe to Mark8t’s Twitter Feed.

We think Twitter is a good way to share the behind the scenes of your site too. It adds personality and can bring a closer relationship to your customers (if you use it properly). Spamming your Twitter feed, with Tweets of useless links and products is not a way to use Twitter. Remember you audience is tech savy, and your posts should give them credit as such. The goal is to make them feel as an insider. Check our Twitter Feed to see an example.
